Примечание 2: Абсолютная звёздная величина 5.0 означает, что объект имеет диаметр около 470 км. Как мы видим, на настоящее время открыто 20 объектов пояса Койпера ярче пятой величины, из них 12 - кьюбивано (Кваоар, Варуна, Хаос, 1995 SM55, 1996 TO66, 2001 UQ18, 2002 AW197, 2002 CY248, 2002 KX14, 2002 MS4, 2002 TX300, 2002 UX25); 5 - плутино 1999 TC36, 2000 EB173, Иксион, 2001 QF298, 2002 VE95) и 3 - объекты внешней окраины пояса (1999 DE9, 2001 UR163 и 2002 TC302). Большинство же известных транснептуновых планет имеют диаметр порядка  200-300 км.
